No, it’s a beautiful, huge flitterback whale! Comfortable in the air or the sea, these massive magical creatures roam the skies over the open ocean - diving into the deep water to cool themselves off or to graze. It is rare to spot one flying over land and there are old tales that doing so may be a bad omen. On the other hand, sailors out at sea know very well that spotting a flitterback soaring above their masts is always a sign of favourable weather and winds to come!
