Merkittens are, paws-down, the most playful creatures inhabiting the Myrinisian ocean. They are known to pounce on anything that crosses their path, which sometimes leads people to think they are dangerous to fish and bubbles. The merkittens are just playing, though, and most fish really like to join in on the fun!
